1/48 Nakajima KI27 Type 97 Fighter (Nate) 64th Flight Regiment Limited Edition

1/48 Nakajima KI27 Type 97 Fighter (Nate) 64th Flight Regiment Limited Edition

Until 1940, the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force Nakajima Ki-27 or "Nate" as refered to by the Allies, was the primary fighter aircraft. Developed in 1935, the Ki-27 was the result for a military request by the Imperial Japanese Army for a low wing monoplane to replace the Kawasaki Ki-10 Type 95 biplane fighter. The aircraft was used in campaigns over Mongolia in 1939 against the USSR and later over Burma against the American Volunteer Group. From it's first flight in October of 1936 until productions end in 1942, a total of 3,368 Ki-27s were built. Although no longer suitable for front line service after 1940, many of the Ki-27 were used as training aircraft. Hasegawa brings this historic fighter to life in 1/48 scale and includes 49 detailed parts as well as a new resin pilot figure.
