Engage in tactical combat.
While the F-4E Phantom II was originally built for the U.S. Air Force, many were exported to the Iranian Air Force in the 1960s and 1970s. The F-4E was the primary fighter used during the Iran-Iraq War, which lasted from 1980-1988. Today, Iran primarily flies the F-4E in reconnaissance missions. The I.A.F. originally had thirty-two operational F-4Es in its fleet. As of 2008, the number has dwindled down to three.
