The Luftwaffe's "Long-Nose Dora." The Fw 190D-9 was designed to fulfill the Luftwaffe's need for a high-altitude heavy bomber that could hold its own against the Allies. While it did not get many opportunities to be used as a heavy bomber, the Fw 190D-9 proved successful in fighter-versus-fighter and ground attack missions for the final days of WWII.
