Two thrilling ways to recreate the "Queen of the Skies."
While initial 100-series 747s offered sufficient payload and enough range for domestic flights, they required more of each for longer international flights. 200-series 747s were soon developed, including 1971's B747-200 for basic passenger flights. The famed Japan Airlines (JAL) added 747-200s to their fleet throughout the decade to accommodate the increased number of international flights.
